If there is unity among the people, we can bury the fascist system: Saki
The chief coordinator of the Mass Solidarity Movement, Jonayed Saki, said, “If there is unity among the people, then just as fascism has fled in this country, we will be able to bury the fascist system as well. And we will be able to bury the reign of looting and corruption that has been established.”
If there is unity among the people, we can bury the fascist system: Saki
Jonayed Saki said these things in his speech as the president at the July Mass Rally at the Central Shaheed Minar on Friday afternoon. The rally was organized by the Mass Solidarity Movement. Ayesha Begum, the mother of Zulfikar Ahmed Shakeel, who was martyred in the July Mass Uprising, inaugurated the rally.
The chief coordinator of the Mass Solidarity Movement said, “If we cannot stop looting and corruption, a new power system will not be established in the country. A new political and power system must be established to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs.”
Jonayed Saki said that the fascist rule, which amassed money and wealth through power, was the basis of the reign of disappearances, murder, torture, and terror in Bangladesh. They had devoured banks, insurance, business, and all development projects while amassing money and wealth through power.
At that time, Junayed Saki demanded an explanation by August 5 as to why the interim government had failed to take responsibility for the families of the martyrs and the injured in the July uprising. He said, “We are seeing many signs that the old system is taking its place among us again. We have seen that the martyrs have not yet been given state status. The injured have not yet been treated.” The chief coordinator of the Mass Solidarity Movement told the interim government, “If you want to move to a new political settlement, the first thing you need to do is take responsibility for the dignity of these martyrs and their families; treat the injured and take responsibility for them.”
Family members of the martyrs and the injured in the July uprising spoke at the rally. They demanded that the July Charter and the July Declaration be issued as soon as possible.
Abul Hasan Rubel, executive coordinator of the Mass Solidarity Movement, and political council members Monir Uddin, Taslima Akhter, Firoz Ahmed, Dewan Abdur Rashid, among others, also spoke at the rally.
Leaders and activists from different parts of the country, as well as people from different classes and professions, participated in this mass rally of the Mass Solidarity Movement.
